The smart badge — what makes it different

True Access uses a patented smart badge and geofencing rather than a check-in kiosk. Its published description: the "Smart Badge automatically turns green when the vendor enters, or turns red" if the vendor is not properly credentialed. In practice that means your compliance status is visible to hospital staff on sight, and your entry is registered without you queuing at a terminal.

Compliance screening

True Access states that it monitors the federal OIG and SAM.gov exclusion lists plus state Medicaid exclusion lists on a daily basis, and raises real-time compliance alerts to the facility.

Which hospitals use it

Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital in California is a named customer — its vendor page states that the hospital "collaborates with True Access for supplier credentialing."

True Access also holds a MAGNET GROUP GPO contract (#4380) running 30 July 2024 to 29 July 2027, which means member facilities can opt in individually. Participation is decided facility by facility, so a GPO contract does not by itself tell you a given hospital uses it.

True Access does not publish a full facility list, so we do not attribute individual hospitals to it without source data for that specific facility. If a hospital has told you to credential through True Access, let us know.

What it costs

True Access does not publish rep-side pricing on its site. You will see current fees during registration.

Requirements

As with every platform on this site, the credential requirements themselves are set by the hospital rather than by True Access — immunizations, background screening, HIPAA training and insurance certificates are typical, and what you need depends on which areas of the facility you enter. Confirm with the facility's supply chain or vendor management team before you travel.

Find the platform for any hospital in your territory

Search nearly 18,000 U.S. hospitals, surgery centers and clinics to see which vendor credentialing platform each one uses.
