How to Log In to VCSDatabase
If you already have an account, follow these steps to access your credential profile.

Go to vcsdatabase.com/loginNavigate to vcsdatabase.com/login. Use Chrome or Firefox for best compatibility — Internet Explorer is not supported. 2
Enter your email and password
Use the email address you registered with. If you've forgotten your password, click "Forgot Password?" on the login page to reset it via email.

Check your credential status
Once logged in, go to "My Credentials" to see which hospitals have approved your profile and which documents are expiring soon.

Print your authorization or show mobile badge
Download your current credential authorization letter from the dashboard and present it at hospital security/check-in, or show the mobile-friendly credential screen.
First Time? How to Register
If you don't have a VCSDatabase account yet, follow these steps to create one.

Create your account at vcsdatabase.com/register
Provide your name, company name, job title, email, and create a password. Verify your email address before proceeding.

Upload your required documents
Upload immunizations, drug screen, background check, HIPAA certificate, and Certificate of Insurance. See the document checklist below for details.

Search for your target hospital and request access
Search by hospital name inside your VCSDatabase dashboard and submit a credentialing request. Each facility may have additional specific requirements — review them in the portal.

Await approval — typically 3–7 business days
VCSDatabase will notify you by email when your credentials are approved. You can then print your authorization letter or access your mobile badge.

✓ Immunization Records
Flu, Hepatitis B, MMR, Tdap, Varicella — titers accepted at many facilities
✓ Drug Screening
Standard 10-panel urine test from an approved collection site
✓ Background Check
Criminal background check — typically 7-year lookback
✓ HIPAA Training Certificate
Annual compliance training — can be completed directly in the VCSDatabase portal
✓ Certificate of Insurance (COI)
General and product liability — minimum coverage limits vary by hospital system
✓ TB Test
Skin test or IGRA blood test — chest X-ray may be required if positive history
Common Issues & Troubleshooting
I can't log in — my password isn't working ▾
Use the "Forgot Password" link at
vcsdatabase.com/login. Check that you're using the email address you originally registered with. If your account has been inactive for an extended period it may require reactivation — contact VCS support.
The hospital says I need VCSDatabase but I can't find it in my search ▾
Some facilities in the GHX/Vendormate ecosystem may be listed under a parent health system name rather than the individual hospital name. Try searching by city or health system. You can also
use our hospital lookup to confirm the platform for a specific facility.
My documents expired — do I need to re-submit everything? ▾
Only the expired documents need to be updated and re-submitted. Log in, go to "My Documents," find the expired items, upload the renewed versions, and re-request facility access if your credentials were suspended.
Is VCSDatabase the same as GHX Vendormate? ▾
VCSDatabase (Vendor Credentialing Service) and GHX Vendormate are related platforms in the same vendor credentialing ecosystem — both operated under the GHX umbrella and now part of the broader Symplr consolidation. If a hospital lists either name, vcsdatabase.com is the correct login portal. Use our
hospital lookup to confirm which platform your specific facility uses.
